Shirley has several new books out. Enterprise STEM, Forces and Motion at Work, and Environmental Disasters are published by Rourke Publishing. These books are part of the series, Let’s Explore Science.

She also wrote Gases for Cherry Lake Publishing, and Step by Step Experiments with Plants and Step by Step Experiments with the Water Cycle for The Child's World.
 
Shirley science content edited two science series for Blue Door Publishing. She also wrote seven new books this past year for Rourke, Cherry Lake, and The Child's World.
   
Shirley was a second round Cybils judge in the middle grade/young adult nonfiction category.

Shirley wrote two articles for the Austin College Magazine. Read them here and here. She will also have an article out in March about writing science series in March with Booklinks.
